Greece myData E-Books (myDATA-Ηλεκτρονικά Βιβλία)

Greece government will soon implement mandatory electronic reporting of invoice data. All companies keeping accounting records according to the Greek Accounting Standards will have to comply. The first deadline to send summary invoices and their classifications from ERP/accounting system is 20 November 2020 for invoices issued in October. From January 2021, the data transmission must be made in real time.

Summary documents which contain mandatory fields of issued invoices must be created electronically in XML format and sent to the Independent Authority of Public Revenue (AADE) 's myData portal. As a result two accounting books - analytical and summary books - will be updated in the portal. AADE’s electronic books signal the digitalization of Greece Tax Administration.

Invoicing remains as a separate process and it can be done in paper or pdf format. E-invoicing will be optional.
