Mandatory QR Code Implementation in Turkey e-Invoicing

In Turkey, the e-Invoicing system has been active since 2014 with the announcement issued by the Turkish Revenue Administration(TRA). Gross sales are made electronically by taxpayers through the invoicing process of the Turkish Revenue Administration (TRA). The related authority published the QR Code Standard Guideline on 17.02.2023. According to the Guideline, the QR code must be included in electronic documents. Taxpayers who integrate information processing systems with special integrators are required to make the necessary improvements in their systems;

  • E-Invoice for B2B and B2G transactions,
  • E-Archive for B2C transactions and also B2B transactions where the customers do not reach the e-invoice registration threshold
  • E-Delivery Notes which report products movements.
    The application, the details of which are explained in the QR Code Standard Guide published by the Revenue Administration, will start as of September 1, 2023.
