Greece’s e‑Delivery mandate introduces digital monitoring of goods movement and electronic transmission of delivery documents through myDATA. Discover the key details of Greece e-delivery regulations and how SNI’s solution ensures full compliance with local requirements.
e-Delivery Regulation Overview
When will Greece’s e-delivery become mandatory?
The e-Delivery system in Greece applies in phases through the myDATA framework. It covers the digital issuance, transmission, and monitoring of delivery and transport documents related to the movement of goods.
Phase A:
Phase A covers the digital issuance and transmission of delivery or transport documents to myDATA at the commencement of goods movement.
For the first group of entities, including businesses with over €200,000 gross income and entities trading specific goods such as pharmaceuticals, energy products, construction materials, and olive-related products, mandatory transmission applies from December 1, 2025, following the voluntary period ending on November 30, 2025.
This phase focuses on the electronic issuance and submission of transport documents through myDATA platform, including the use of required identifiers such as MARK and QR codes, where applicable.
Phase B:
Phase B has been postponed and restructured. Instead of the previous May 1, 2026 date, Phase B is split into a later staged implementation timeline.
From October 12, 2026, Phase B covers digital monitoring events such as loading, reloading, transshipment, receipt, and quantitative or qualitative control procedures.
From January 1, 2027, additional product classification requirements apply, including TARIC-based or item classification details where required.
Phase B expands the obligation beyond the issuance of the delivery document and focuses on event-based monitoring of the movement of goods through myDATA.
Who is obliged to submit?
e-delivery documents need to be submitted to myDATA by the entity responsible for issuing the delivery or transport document, or by an authorized third party acting on its behalf.
This may include the company issuing the delivery note or a third-party logistics provider where the 3PL manages inventory and generates the relevant delivery documents.
In cases involving goods from foreign suppliers that are not required to report to myDATA, the reporting responsibility depends on the Greek party involved in the movement, receipt, or handling of the goods, in line with the applicable myDATA rules.
What are the benefits?
The e-delivery system brings several advantages, including:
- Streamlining processes by moving away from paper to a fully digital system.
- Enhancing tax reporting accuracy, ensuring better oversight and compliance.
- Reducing the likelihood of errors and improving overall transparency in transactions.
- Improving traceability of goods through MARK, QR code, and event-based monitoring data.
How to generate and submit documents?
Companies must use myDATA ERP systems or authorized e-invoicing providers to create and send e-delivery documents via the myDATA platform. These documents must contain key details like recipient and issuer information, delivery dates, MARK and QR codes, and must be sent before dispatch. Additionally, recipients are notified through myDATA, and under the Phase B framework, receipt confirmation, loading or reloading events, and quality or quantity differences are handled through digital monitoring procedures within the applicable deadlines.
