For the mandatory implementation of the B2B e-Invoicing which was set to begin from July 2024 a new draft legislation has been approved by the Belgian Council of Ministers, according to the new draft, a new implementation date has been set as 1 January 2026. It will cover the Belgian resident companies and local subsidiaries of foreign companies. As currently used, Peppol Network is planned for the technical framework, also upon mutual agreement of the parties, other platforms complying with the EU requirements will be used.
