Egypt e-Invoice will reduce the grace period!

Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, Reda Abdel Qader, announced that sending e-Invoices in the 7-days rule will be reduced gradually. As of January 2023, electronic invoices will be sent the same day of the issuance (in real time). You can see the announcement here

The planned timeline is as follows;

  • From July 2022 lead time will reduce 6 days
  • August 2022 5 days
  • September 2022 4 days
  • October 2022 3 days
  • November 2022 2 days
  • December 2022 1 day
  • From 1 January 2023 invoices will be instantaneously. 

The implementation of e-Invoicing still continues; the sixth phase started on February 15, and the seventh phase will begin as of June 15, 2022.
