North Macedonia is continuing preparations for its national e-invoicing reform through the e-Faktura system, operated by the Public Revenue Office. The system is currently in testing, with the latest update marking the launch of the third testing phase. This phase follows earlier API-focused testing and expands the process through a web application available to taxpayers.
With the new web application, companies can test the creation, sending, acceptance, rejection and cancellation of electronic invoices. The application supports the general invoice type with 12 tax indicators, covering different VAT and transaction scenarios. The Public Revenue Office is encouraging businesses to participate in the testing process and submit feedback. This phase is intended to support further improvement of the e-Faktura system before broader implementation.
