Luxembourg is one of the European countries that will implement the B2G e-Invoice system to their system after the obligation on demand of SAF-T reporting (FAIA). With the amending the law of May 16, 2019, published on 18 December 2021. The government gradually arranged a full implementation of the B2G e-Invoice transition period to cover the years 2022 and 2023. B2G e-Invoice implementation will be completed in 3 stages. These;
1) 18 May 2022 for large companies (5 months after the law’s entry into force);
Balance sheet total: EUR 20 million
Net turnover: EUR 40 million
Number of personnel employed full-time and on average during the financial year: 250
2) 18 October 2022 for medium-sized companies (10 months after the law’s entry into force);
Balance sheet total: EUR 4.4 million
Net turnover: EUR 8.8 million
Number of personnel employed full-time and on average during the financial year: 50
3) 18 March 2023 for small and newly created businesses of all sizes (15 months after the law’s entry into force)
Each stage will be mandatory for companies that meet at least 2 of the conditions.
